Portugal enlightened me with the deep heritage running through the blood of proud Lusitano horses, as well as the untamed spirits of wild Garrano and Sorraia ponies. It also became the first collection where I've welcomed architecture alongside horses. This journey showed me that the world is far richer, and far less black and white, than I ever imagined.

In Scotland, I found myself again with the unlikely help of small, sturdy ponies hidden away in the highlands. It's as if the mountains had been holding it all safe until I was ready to listen. These ponies belonged — without a doubt — to this wild, untamed land. Having memories of trodging through heather and over ancient hills, these photographs will forever remain sacred to me.

Canada felt like the picture I once held in my mind of what freedom might look like — horses against open skies, grasslands that seemed to have no end, and air that carried a stillness I had almost forgotten. Out there, I felt small, yet deeply connected. This collection is a reminder of that wonder, and of the quiet strength that comes from wide open spaces.

New Zealand was half a world away, and yet I went not knowing what I would discover. This tiny island showed me vast prairies stretched into the horizon, black sand beaches accompanied by the sounds of seagulls, lagoons where mythical creatures resided and in the silence of the mountains I felt both small and infinite. I had never been so far from home, yet it all felt strangely familiar — like stepping into a dream I must have carried with me all along.

Not all images are created as part of a grand adventure. Some are the result of quiet days, a single encounter or moments that simply stood out on their own. Unbridled brings these pieces together — photographs that stand on their own, each with its own story to tell.
