The retreat will take place from Thursday the 22nd of May to Sunday the 25th of May 2025.
Price of € 1150 EUR includes:
→ Non-refundable deposit of 575 EUR upon joining.
→ 3 nights accommodation.
→ Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks)
→ Transport for the duration of the retreat.
→ English speaking guide.
→ Lecture on horse behavior.
→ Joint editing session.
→ 5 excursions to the wild ponies.

→ Cost of arrival to/from Billund Airport, Denmark.
→ Photography gear.
→ Cancellation and travel insurance.

RECOMMENDED GEAR AND LEVEL
You will need a DSLR or mirrorless camera along with a telephoto lens. It is recommended to bring (or rent) either a 100-300mm, 100-400mm or a 70-200mm. All the photos you see here is taken with a 70-200mm, but a longer lens is recommended to get even more up close with the ponies without disturbing them.
Remember to also bring your laptop for the joint editing session, and to be able to empty your memory cards.
This retreat is open for hobbyists as well as professionals, and it is recommended that you have a basic understanding of your camera in terms of shutter speed, iso and aperture.

Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is designed for photographers of all levels who are passionate about horses, nature, and connecting with like-minded people. It is recommended to have a basic understanding of shutter speed, aperture and ISO.
Where will the retreat take place?
The retreat will be hosted on the Danish west coast, known for its wild landscapes and beautiful natural surroundings. This is where you will photograph Exmoor ponies roaming free.
What if I’ve never been to Denmark?
No worries! Denmark is easy to navigate, and we’ll provide detailed travel instructions. Once you arrive at the retreat, everything is taken care of for you. If you're arriving by plane, we will pick you up and drop you off at the airport.
Will there be downtime?
Yes, there will be plenty of opportunities to relax and reflect. We’ve designed the retreat to be peaceful, with time for rest and connection with nature between photography sessions.
What kind of clothing should I bring?
You’ll need comfortable outdoor gear suitable for the weather in May on the Danish coast. Layers are recommended, as temperatures can vary throughout the day.
What if the weather is bad?
The retreat is designed to be flexible, and we’ll adjust our schedule to make the most of the weather conditions. Rain or shine, we’ll find ways to capture the beauty of the wild ponies.
